National Scenic Areas
The Scottish Borders is home to two of Scotland’s National Scenic Areas. The areas - Eildon and Leaderfoot, Upper Tweeddale - were designated over twenty years ago because of their outstanding beauty and in order to protect them as part of Scotland's heritage. They provide some of the regions most important and attractive landscapes and are home to some of its most important wild flora and fauna, well worth a visit.
